VOLUNTEER!
In-Kind Services
SCCDC needs you as part of its team!
Community volunteers play an important role in the lives of our families and children as well as providing a benefit to our program. Volunteer time equals in-kind dollars. The program must find over $330,000 in donated time and resources annually. Along with Community partners and leaders many current and former Head Start parents contribute hundreds of hours to the programs. As a volunteer you can: - Read to children, enhancing their language rich Head Start environment
- Join children as they play and learn
- Go on field trips and see a child's world expand
- Train staff or parents in your area of expertise
- Serve as a Community Representative on the Head Start Policy Council or Governance Board
- Work on a fund raising event
- Attend a center or classroom and become a part of its weekly activities
